      • Authored a successful proposal for a research grant from the German Research Association DFG for the EMD project totaling approx. 180,000€ (~ 280,000US$ at time of grant)
      • Contributed to the definition of the role of i9 in the BioKeyS project conducted in collaboration with the “Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik” (BSI), Fraunhofer Institut für Graphische Datenverarbeitung Darmstadt (IGD), Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da) and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU).
    • Internal grants
      • Authored three successful proposals for hardware grants (HPC cluster, cluster extension, redundant storage solution) from the UMIC research cluster totaling approx. 98,000€ (~ 141,500US$ at time of grants)
      • Contributed to the definition of the role of i9 in the research cluster UMIC, resulting in an initial grant of approx. 56,000€ (~ 71,000US$ at time of grant) and to the authoring of a successful hardware grant proposal resulting in a grant of approx. 63,000€ (~86,500$ at the time of grant).
